javaid is a Checkstyle-compatible Java linter written in Rust that delivers identical findings to Checkstyle 14.4.0 on its bundled Google and Sun configs, while running 3.6–5.7x faster single-threaded and 22–38x on 16 threads with far lower memory use. It reimplements 128 Checkstyle modules over a tree-sitter grammar and verifies byte-for-byte parity against the real Checkstyle on Guava and Spring Framework, making it a drop-in CI/hook replacement for large Java codebases.
Target audience: backend devs, devops, Java developers maintaining Checkstyle-based CI pipelines
