Trail Commons is an open-source mapping app and database for mountain bike trails in the US and Canada, built on OpenStreetMap data and released under the Open Database License. It combines OSM trail geometry with trail descriptions, condition reports, and photos, and includes a lightweight editor that writes changes back to OSM. The project aims to give the outdoor community ownership of trail data and fills a gap for mountain-bike-specific mapping.

Target audience: outdoor enthusiasts, mountain bikers, open-data contributors, GIS developers
