Vaire is a Go CLI that turns a fresh VPS into a hardened PostgreSQL 18 server with WireGuard-only access, per-database clusters, PgBouncer, TLS, backups, and desired-state convergence. It's interesting because it eliminates a server-side control daemon and web UI, using a single binary in operator and node modes communicating over an on-demand WireGuard tunnel, effectively bringing managed-Postgres ergonomics to self-hosting.
