tinyjobs is a dependency-free Python background job and cron scheduler backed by SQLite, with optional Redis migration and no broker/daemon required. It handles retries, timeouts, priorities, deduplication, cron misfires, retention pruning, and observability hooks, all coordinated via atomic SQLite UPDATEs so multiple workers can run safely without a leader election. It's a pragmatic simplification of Celery for small-to-medium projects that don't need a message broker.
Target audience: backend devs, python developers, small teams avoiding Redis/RabbitMQ
