Chest is a free, open-source menu bar manager for macOS 27 that hides icons using macOS's native 'Allow in the Menu Bar' switches rather than screen-pushing tricks. It provides a small drawer for hidden icons and requires minimal permissions, offering a lightweight alternative to tools like Ice that broke on newer macOS versions.

Target audience: macOS power users and developers
