Putaway is a macOS utility that uses AI to automatically sort files from a folder (like Downloads) into user-defined existing folders. It offers a preview-and-confirm workflow, supports local Apple Intelligence, custom OpenAI-compatible models, and cloud services, and includes safety features like undo and no-overwrite. It's interesting for its focus on privacy, local-first AI, and practical file management.

Target audience: macOS users and developers looking to automate file organization
