Indigene is an offline-first Progressive Web App that recommends native plants based on your exact location, sun exposure, soil, and climate, ranked by ecological benefit. It combines real-time sensor data (camera, compass, geolocation) with curated regional plant lists and transparent scoring, making native gardening accessible to non-experts. The project stands out for its framework-free vanilla TypeScript implementation, rigorous data-sourcing standards, and thoughtful UX.

Target audience: home gardeners, environmental enthusiasts, landscape designers, and developers interested in offline-first PWAs
