Score: 6.0/10 (Innovation: 5, Technical: 6, Documentation: 8, Utility: 5)

In Meeting is a native macOS menu bar utility that observes camera and microphone activity via CoreAudio and CoreMediaIO, then triggers user-configurable webhooks (for home automation like Home Assistant) and local notifications. Its zero-polling architecture delivers instant detection with near-zero CPU overhead, and it uniquely exposes state via an atomic status file for shell integrations.

Target audience: smart home enthusiasts, privacy-conscious macOS users, devops engineers with home labs
