Omabib is a native Rust bibliography manager for Omarchy (an Arch Linux/Hyprland distro) that serves as a Zotero alternative with first-class AI agent support via MCP. It combines SQLite-backed reference management, BibTeX import/export, a built-in PDF reader with figure clipping, and direct integration with Codex and Claude Code for chat-over-papers workflows.

Target audience: researchers, academics, and developers using AI agents who want a keyboard-first local reference manager
