pqp is an open-source, self-hostable Discord alternative offering voice, chat, screen sharing, DMs, and moderation features with a PWA, signed desktop app, and mobile clients. It stands out for its dual voice transport (P2P mesh for small rooms, LiveKit SFU for large ones), bilingual support, and exceptionally thorough documentation covering architecture, deployment, and honest limitations.

Target audience: backend devs, full-stack devs, devops, self-hosters
