Dol is a local-first markdown note-taking app that syncs notes across devices via your own CouchDB instance. It offers live preview, wikilinks, full-text search, and a folder tree, with credentials stored in the OS keychain. The project is interesting for its self-hosted sync approach, but it's a crowded space with limited differentiation.

Target audience: privacy-conscious users, self-hosters, developers
