Apartment Fax is a paid service that compiles public NYC housing records into a $1 report for renters to check building and apartment histories before signing a lease. It aggregates violations, complaints, bed bug filings, and other public data, but the site offers no open-source code, API, or technical documentation, making it a commercial product rather than a reusable project.

Target audience: renters in New York City
