Notes Plus is a note-taking application that positions itself as an Apple Notes alternative, built around plain Markdown files stored on disk. It adds features like a Kanban/JIRA-style board view derived from folders, LaTeX support, and Excalidraw integration, differentiating it from generic Markdown editors. The idea of mapping folders to swimlanes for a local-first, file-based project management interface is a neat twist, but the project is early-stage with limited public traction.

Target audience: knowledge workers, developers, and productivity enthusiasts who prefer local Markdown files
