Appwrite 2.0 is a major backend platform release that replaces its proprietary abstractions with standards-based interfaces: S3-compatible storage, native PostgreSQL/MySQL, and an OAuth 2.1/OIDC provider. It also introduces a coroutine-based engine (Hyperloop B), a new Console, and Cloud-only Domains and Firewall features, aiming to eliminate the trade-off between convenience and portability.
Target audience: backend developers, full-stack developers, devops engineers, platform teams
