Show HN: SilkDrop – MilkDrop port for web with live editor

Category: other

Tags: webassembly, webgl, music-visualization, milkdrop, offline-first

Score: 6.7/10 (Innovation: 6, Technical: 8, Documentation: 3, Utility: 6)

SilkDrop ports the MilkDrop music visualizer to the web by compiling libprojectM to WebAssembly and rendering via WebGL 2, with 9,795 presets, live editing, and full offline capability. It's impressive technically for running a complex C++ engine entirely client-side with no backend, though as a fun pet project it lacks formal documentation.

Target audience: frontend devs, creative coders, music enthusiasts, WebAssembly learners
