AI Assist is a desktop helper that indexes local files (documents, notes, contracts) using on-device embeddings and provides cited answers during meetings without a bot joining the call. It uses a BYOK (bring your own key) model, sending only top-ranked text excerpts to Anthropic for grounded responses, keeping files private.

Target audience: knowledge workers, consultants, engineers who need private document Q&A during calls
